Class Descriptions and Levels

New to practicing yoga?  We encourage you to attend some beginner level classes to learn the basics of yoga; however, as a beginner you're also welcome to attend any class on the schedule and the instructor will help you work at your own pace.  If you're uncertain about whether a particular class might be a good fit for you the EYS staff can help you make a selection.

Beginner Yoga A basic yoga class for the new student which is also good for those with some experience who would like to deepen their practice. This moves at  slower pace so that you may become familiar with basic yoga poses. A perfect place to Start!

Beginner Cycling with Yoga - This new class combines the cardio associated with cycling with the visualization and calming of yoga. Perfect for those who practice yoga but would like to try cycling in a less strenuous but still energetic atmosphere. Also perfect for cyclists who wish to learn yoga techniques that can compliment any cardio activity. Class time will be split between the Cycling & the Yoga Room.

All Level Hatha This class moves at a slower pace to help you build a good foundation in basic yoga postures and yoga terminology. Great for beginners, but if you’re an experienced student you’ll find this class is also the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice.

All Level Pilates - A 60-minute class of core strengthening pilates emphasizes the importance of core strength and stability. Use of correct muscle groups and maintenance of proper alignment is the goal for healthy posture. This class incorporates principles of concentration, precision, control, breathing, and flowing movements and is suitable for all levels. The use of rings and other equipment ensures a unique and invigorating class every time.

Pilates Core Plus -  A 60-minute class of core strengthening with full body toning using resistance bands, rings and  your own body! You will strengthen your core and sculpt your physique using all your muscle groups with precise, energetic and flowing movements.

Prenatal Yoga - With certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor Jen Palmer. Embrace & celebrate your journey into motherhood with prenatal yoga. The program will provide a nurturing environment in which you can connect with other pregnant woman while enjoying the many physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Learn how to quiet your mind and gently encourage the body to stretch, move, breathe and relax. Classes will be designed to help ease common discomforts, cope with normal aches and pains of pregnancy, and prepare the mind, spirit, and body for your birth experience.
*A Prenatal Medical Release Form must be filled out and signed by your doctor or midwife for participation in our prenatal program. Form will be available soon!

Candle Light Hatha - A great way to end a stressful work week…candles combined with soothing music create a wonderful ambience and the ultimate atmosphere to relax and let go. In this all level class yoga postures will help you calm and focus the mind, release stress and tension, and become open to relax deeply at the end of class.

Vinyasa - Emphasizing the breath with body alignment, this style of yoga incorporates a flow of movement and links one pose to the next. Creativity in sequencing assures this is never the same class twice. Some experience with basic yoga poses is recommended.

Powerful Vinyasa - A vigorous, eclectic blend of flowing postures this class will improve strength, stamina and flexibility. With special attention on breath and alignment we’ll explore many challenging poses. Recommended for students with yoga experience and a good foundation in basic yoga asanas.

Yin - Explore long-held yet powerful poses to deepen and enhance flexibility at the core of your body-specifically the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Appropriate for the healthy newer student and the advanced yogi-also a great class for athletes.

Energy Cycle - Motivating! Energizing! Challenging for all levels. This cycling class may only last 50 minutes but it will be one that keeps you MOVING! Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the changing pace of each class while keeping the beat to great music! Make the middle of your week the time to check out this fast paced workout!

Sunrise Cycle - Start your Saturday with a Sunrise Cycling class. This class will wake you up and get you moving. You will get your cycling form and posture right in this class. Make this class the beginning to your weekend today!

Spinning Medley - Ride into fitness with a medley of music and visualization techniques that motivate each participant towards their own goals. This class is designed for all riders and fitness levels and is both fun and exhilarating! The instructor will demonstrate intensity options and will keep you moving!
 
Cycling - Cycling is more than an indoor biking class. Each participant has total control of their ride. Instructors guide the class through a ride that may simulate a hill climb, a relatively flat road, or a combination of both. Develop aerobic conditioning, strength, and focus in a fun, motivating atmosphere. A water bottle and towel is required for class; heart rate monitors are highly recommended. A great class for beginners and seasoned athletes alike.

Experience Private, Semi-Private or Small Group Classes.

Choose a single class for a special occasion (birthday, corporate retreat, bridal party, girls night out etc.) or schedule a series of ongoing classes. You select the type of class you’d like to experience - from intense and vigorous to gentle, calming, and restorative. Classes may be done here or we can come to your location.
