Class Descriptions and Levels

New to practicing yoga? How about Pilates? We encourage you to attend some beginner level classes to learn the basics
of yoga; however, as a beginner you're also welcome to attend any class on the schedule and the instructor will help
you work at your own pace. For Pilates our instructors can accommodate any fitness level in their class and modify the
moves for you. If you're uncertain about whether a particular class might be a good fit for you the EYS staff can help
you make a selection.


Below you will find a list of our regularly scheduled classes. We also have a rotating group of Special Classes. To see

Beginner Yoga
– With a welcoming atmosphere this is the perfect place to take your first class and experience yoga! You will be
introduced to basic hatha yoga poses to start your practice and will find this class both relaxing and enlightening. Always taught by
beginner friendly instructors you will be surrounded by others who are just starting out just like you! 
Appropriate for the brand new beginner to intermediate.

All Level Hatha Yoga – Although a step above Beginner this class moves at a slower pace than a Yoga Flow class. This class will
help you build a good foundation in basic hatha yoga postures and yoga terminology. This is also great preparation for those who wish
to move on to vinyasa flow yoga.
Appropriate for beginner to intermediate.

Yoga Flow - Emphasizing breath with movement, this class will improve strength, stamina, balance and flexibility.  This class is perfect
 for those who have done All Level classes and would like to try a "Vinyasa style" class or have previous experience. Creativity in
sequencing and music assures this is never the same class twice. Some experience with basic yoga poses and a sense of joy and fun is recommended.
Appropriate for advanced beginner to advanced.

Powerful Hot Vinyasa Yoga -  A powerful Vinyasa flow class with the room heated to the mid-80s to allow your body to deeply release into stretches and positions. A vigorous, eclectic blend of flowing postures this class will improve strength, stamina and flexibility. With special attention on breath and alignment we’ll explore many challenging poses. Discover how quickly your body will become more flexible,
relaxed and be able to move more freely! Come prepared to sweat! Recommended for students with yoga experience and a good
foundation in basic yoga asanas.
Appropriate for intermediate to advanced.

Yin Yoga - This class will deepen and enhance flexibility at the core of your body-specifically the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. Using
long-held poses this is a meditative class that moves at a slower pace.  This class is great for the newer student to the advanced
yogi-also a great class for athletes.
Appropriate for beginner to advanced.

Candle Light Hatha - A great way to end a stressful work week…candles combined with soothing music create a wonderful ambience
and the ultimate atmosphere to relax and let go. In this all level class yoga postures will help you calm and focus the mind, release
stress and tension and become open to relax deeply at the end of class.
Appropriate for beginner to intermediate.

Prenatal Yoga – Taught by certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor Jen Palmer this is a 6 week series. Please check our schedule for dates.
No previous experience is required for this gentle, nurturing class.  Prenatal yoga practice helps develop strength, endurance,
flexibility, relaxation and breath awareness- all key elements of a healthy, positive pregnancy and birth experience.
Appropriate for the brand new beginner to advanced.

All Level Pilates - A 60-minute class of core strengthening pilates emphasizes the importance of core strength and stability. Use of
correct muscle groups and maintenance of proper alignment is the goal for healthy posture. This class incorporates principles of
concentration, precision, control, breathing, and flowing movements and is suitable for all levels. The use of rings and other equipment
ensures a unique and invigorating class every time.
Appropriate for the brand new beginner to advanced.

Pilates Core Plus -  A 60-minute class of core strengthening with full body toning using resistance bands, rings, weighted exercise
balls and your own body! You will strengthen your core and sculpt your physique using all your muscle groups with precise, energetic
and flowing movements.

Energy Cycle - Motivating! Energizing! Challenging for all levels. This cycling class may only last 50 minutes but it will be one that
keeps you MOVING! Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the changing pace of each class while keeping the beat to great music! Make the
middle of your week the time to check out this fast paced workout!
Appropriate for beginner to advanced.

Sunrise Cycle - Start your Saturday with a Sunrise Cycling class. This class will wake you up and get you moving. You will get your
cycling form and posture right in this class. This class is designed for all riders and fitness levels so make this class the beginning to
your weekend today!

Cycling Medley - Ride into fitness with a medley of music and visualization techniques that motivate each participant towards their
own goals. This class is designed for all riders and fitness levels and is both fun and exhilarating! The instructor will demonstrate
intensity options and will keep you moving!
Appropriate for beginner to advanced.

Sunday Cycling – The Doctor is in! Taught by Dr. Joe Cavallaro this cycling class is more than an indoor biking class. You will be
guided through a ride that may simulate a hill climb, a relatively flat road, or a combination of both. You will develop aerobic
conditioning, strength, and focus in a fun, motivating atmosphere. A great class for beginners and seasoned athletes.
